Flagship Phones S21, S21 Plus, and S22 ultra
The Galaxy S21 Series is one of the most exciting
smartphones to be released in 2020, by far. The Galaxy S21 lineup has a
whopping 6.2 million units sold worldwide, and it has been hailed as “the best
smartphone” in recent memory. But while the S21 series received praise
for its flagship specs on paper and screen-to-body ratios, some consumers still
haven’t gotten their hands on the device, with an estimated 10 million or more
Galaxy S21 owners waiting in line every month, including Black Friday.
When Samsung started making monthly payments to owners via
installments that ranged from 2.2–6% depending on how late the sale, sales took
a long time to start picking up. This was even made worse by the fact that some
people never got their hands on the S21 series, despite having invested
over $10,000, which is enough to make 4–5 people look like they are worth
$100k. This issue wasn’t helped by two months when Samsung went on strike in
South Korea and other parts of Asia, costing thousands of dead people’s wages.
In June, many stores across the globe shut down altogether due
to lack of demand for Samsung products, leaving plenty of potential buyers,
especially now all Galaxy phones were officially discontinued on October 31st
at 12 pm EST. Many consumers have already begun looking ahead to the launch of
Galaxy S22, but there is a chance it could be delayed further, so we
thought it would be good to take a closer look at both what this upcoming phone
really looks like on camera so well as highlight all features that will be very
interesting to see come with S22.
We'll also cover the
latest rumors surrounding the release date of the Galaxy S22 and any
leaks about the next Galaxy smartphone, as these factors may or may not mean
anything in terms of when the series is unveiled. While we're focusing heavily
on the display, chipset, cameras, software, and performance, let's begin with
the camera department and then move on to the design of the Galaxy S21
Series and talk about everything else you need to know about the Galaxy S22
Ultra.
Galaxy S21 vs. Galaxy S21 Plus
The main difference between S21 and S21+ is the
addition of stereo dual camera sensors, known as f/1.8 and f/2.4, respectively.
According to Google, the main reasons why the S21-series has such
high ratings are due to its impressive depth perception, along with better
image quality and faster processing times, similar to the S20+. The S21
is currently listed at position 14, which means the only way to reach the top
position is to have a new model.
So the question becomes,
why can’t we have the S21 series on store shelves once the S22
launches? Since the two models share almost identical specifications, the
Galaxy S21 and S21+, we could say the same thing is true in terms
of appearance, however, some differences do exist between them. Let's check out
the two different renders below.
Galaxy S21 vs. S21+ render
As seen above, the Galaxy S21 series has taken many
changes over previous generations including a lower notch display and more
angular curves. There also seems to be an increase of displays that vary
between 120Hz and QHD. Overall, those are just some of the differences
you can expect between the two models. As far as the Galaxy S21
series goes, this particular edition does look extremely attractive and offers
a gorgeous design.
Also, we could see the
glass back and the front panel is slightly different too, with the latter
showing off the full-front view while the former shows off the rear camera
array. You also get a lot of information regarding the size of the iPhone 12
lineup inside the last year (except the S21), which led
us to believe that this series won't have drastically different sizes compared
to past releases.
However, those
speculations have yet to happen and should be confirmed later than expected if
the next generation comes in the way we think it will. And then, how did the
Galaxy S21 compare to the S20+? Well, with the help of our handy
comparison tool, you’d be able to find both the S21 series features
including its OLED panel which is touted as the “best displays” ever available
in any smartphone, and also in recent years, the S21 Ultra features a
super-wide camera that doesn’t look nearly as wide as previous iterations.
Both devices also sport wireless charging, though apparently, one
model has improved the Galaxy S21+’s speed by three to four times
compared to the prior gen. Lastly, we also saw that you can purchase a pair of
headphones either separately or as part of your bundle, and there isn’t much
reason to have both devices when the Galaxy S21 and S21+ include
stereo dual camera sensors, which can help you capture more details along the
way. All in all, the Galaxy S20+ series is still one of the best
smartphones to date and will undoubtedly continue to receive rave reviews for
it until this day when the Galaxy Series X is shown for the first time.
